SD20-E Bus-Type Servo Drive System
Third-generation bus servo performance with built-in EtherCAT

High-response, full-featured servo control from 100 W to 45 kW
The SD20-G is a fully digital general-purpose servo drive system designed to drive and control permanent magnet synchronous servo motors. Available in seven compact book-style frames (M1–M7), it covers 100 W to 7.5 kW on 220 V class power (single-phase or three-phase) and 1 kW to 45 kW on three-phase 380 V, making it suitable for everything from small precision axes to large industrial machinery.
Performance is anchored by a 1.2 kHz speed-loop frequency response, a 1:10,000 speed control range and ±0.01% speed fluctuation under 0–100% load. The drive supports all six fundamental control modes — position pulse, internal register position, analog speed, internal register speed, analog torque and internal register torque — plus switchable dual-mode combinations, so one drive can serve positioning, velocity and torque applications. Position commands accept differential or open-collector pulses at up to 500 kHz (4 MHz with high-speed differential input).
The SD20-G is built for easy integration and standalone intelligence: RS485 Modbus communication is standard, with optional CANopen and EtherCAT. An embedded PLC function, high-speed counter, electronic cam, gantry synchronization, full closed-loop control, online/offline inertia identification, auto gain adjustment and vibration suppression simplify commissioning, while a complete protection suite and a 5-digit LED keypad with parameter-copy function round out day-to-day operation.
Position pulse, register position, analog speed, register speed, analog torque and register torque — ten dual-mode combinations switchable in real time.
1.2 kHz frequency response, 1:10,000 speed control range, ±0.01% speed fluctuation across 0–100% load.
500 kHz differential / 200 kHz open-collector inputs, up to 4 MHz via high-speed differential; three pulse formats.
Resolver, 2500 ppr incremental, 23-bit incremental, 17/23-bit absolute and 17-bit magnetic encoders; full closed-loop option.
RS485 Modbus standard; optional CANopen or EtherCAT for networked automation.
Embedded programmable logic allows standalone operation without an external controller.
Electronic cam, gantry synchronization, homing search, fixed-length interrupt, zero-speed clamp, S-curve smoothing.
Online/offline inertia identification, automatic gain adjustment, vibration suppression, and a full protection suite with 5-digit LED keypad and parameter copy.
